The longtime Blur guitarist has just shared “Billy Says,” a new single that opens the way to “Castle Park,” due out on June 19 through Transgressive Records.
After around a dozen solo albums, Graham Coxon continues to surprise us with his prolific output. Although it was recorded more than ten years ago, it is indeed now that the Blur guitarist’s new single, “Billy Says,” lands on our ears. A track that ushers in Castle Park, an album laid down in 2011 that will be released on June 19 through Transgressive Records.
It was produced by Ben Hillier (already at the helm for Blur’s Think Tank) and was intended as the follow-up to A+E (2012) — before its release was delayed, the musician was notably busy with his duties as the guitarist for the Damon Albarn-led band.
The solo catalog of Graham Coxon is set to be reissued in full: nine studio albums and three soundtracks will be released gradually over the coming year. Better late than never!
Castle Park (Transgressive Records/Fuga). Release on June 19.
