Syd Matters unveils this Wednesday, April 29, the single Many Years In The Making on the Créature label. Faithful to its folk aesthetic, the band offers a piece that is highly free and quite unconventional where guitar arpeggios mingle with electronic textures. But Syd Matters is not content with a return on streaming platforms alone. The group has already announced a string of concerts across France and Europe for autumn 2026, with a culminating performance at the Olympia stage on November 17, 2026, nearly fifteen years after they celebrated the end of the tour for their fourth album Brotherocean (2010).
If the band is still keeping things deliberately opaque for now, the density — and the title — of Many Years In The Making could hint that a fifth album might be in the works.
