The legendary band is preparing for a major return in July 2026 with a new studio album, the twenty-fifth of their career.
Sydney, London, Paris, or Tokyo… Posters bearing the famous tongue logo of the Stones have begun to appear all around the world. Each poster features a form of “Foreign Tongues” (Foreign Languages) rendered in a multitude of different languages. These enigmatic visuals seem to confirm the title of this 25th record, a tribute to the universal nature of the logo, even more recognizable than the band itself and designed by graphic designer John Pasche in 1970.
A well-executed communications strategy, since this is the follow-up to an initial media push that began under an alias. The Mick Jagger crew revived “The Coakroaches” (“The Cockroaches”) to launch a first single available exclusively on ultra-exclusive white-label vinyl Rough & Twisted whose excerpt can be heard right here.
Set to follow Hackney Diamonds, released in 2023, this new album has again been crafted with producer Andrew Watt (who is also on production for the upcoming McCartney). The release of Foreign Tongues is normally scheduled for July.
