Arca Announces New Dark Album ‘XXXXX’

July 21, 2026

Arca has announced her first album in five years and it will arrive at the end of this very month. The Venezuelan artist has revealed that the successor to the latest installment of ‘KICK’ will be titled ‘XXXXX’ and will be released on July 31. Its haunting cover, inspired by the work of H. R. Giger, along with the 16-track listing, has also been unveiled.

The eighth record from Arca is described as a work that is “darker, more aggressive, more experimental, and reluctant to fit into a fixed form,” according to the official note. In addition to the eagerly awaited release, the creator of ‘Puta’ has also announced a one-of-a-kind live stream directed by Daniel Sannwald, who is behind Arca’s own videos for ‘Motomami’ or ‘Sola’.

The performance will begin this Thursday, July 23 at 9:30 PM local time from Barcelona and promises to “blur the boundaries between IRL, streaming, durational performance, and hallucination.” It will be viewable on Twitch and YouTube and will include unreleased songs from the new LP.
