The 29th edition of Sonorama Ribera will take place starting tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, and run through this Sunday, with JENESAISPOP serving as the official media partner. We already highlighted the headliners you simply must see in Aranda de Duero, and we skipped other mentions because this year’s lineup is so expansive. With more than 100 confirmed artists, it makes sense to assemble another list featuring the names that don’t shout as loudly.
Ángeles Toledano
The artist from Jaén is one of the flamenco scene’s breakout voices in recent years, though she has been celebrated much longer. At only 20, she traveled across Europe as part of guitarist Paco Peña’s company. Her big debut arrived in 2024 with ‘Sangre Sucia’, and there she already demonstrated that she isn’t afraid to step away from tradition in favor of electronics. Her collaborations with Jorge Drexler and La Plazuela have continued to confirm it.

Speaking of Drexler… The son of the Uruguayan singer-songwriter hasn’t needed his father’s prestige to become one of the most interesting artists on the emerging scene. His compositions are often compared to those of Bon Iver or James Blake, but his work on ‘Spanish Leather’ also backs him as a frontrunner of more immediate pop. In live performance, tracks like ‘Vida Nueva’ and ‘Otra Vida’ feel even more vibrant.
Carlangas
After leaving Novedades Carminha at the peak of his popularity, the Galician artist hasn’t stopped delivering great projects and new sounds. His first project, simply titled ‘Carlangas’, underscored his love for electronics, while ‘Bailódromo, Vol. 1’ sent us dancing at a vintage disco. ‘Universo Paralelo’, on the other hand, recaptures his garage-tinged edge. Carlangas’s charisma is a must-have at any festival.
Repion
We keep talking about the Iñesta sisters as one of the national rock duos to follow, but they’re already on their fourth album. More reason to hop aboard their train now. If their nostalgic nod to the nineties on tracks like ‘El sueño dura una semana’ or ‘Cerra los ojos’ doesn’t convince you enough, we’re quite skeptical from here.
Fans of powerful voices and vocal experimentation will find a lot to enjoy in Aguilera’s Sonorama appearance. With the release of ‘Anela’, the Catalan artist established herself as one of the country’s boldest pop stars thanks to tracks like ‘Soledad’. While previously she had focused on late-2000s pop, Aguilera now expands her range—from the more classical melodies to the avant-garde.
