Cariño are ready to unveil their debut album following María Talaverano’s departure: ‘Pop! Magic! Tragedy!’ will be released on November 6. The group, now comprised of Alicia Ros and Paola Rivero, has offered a teaser after the revealing ‘Odio la música’, capable of winning anyone over. ‘Romántico’ is the Song of the Day.
Cariño’s fondness for bubblegum pop remains evident in ‘Romántico’, loaded with melodic guitars and sweet chimes, as well as their knack for crafting something utterly catchy. Ros sings about the feelings two people experience after a relationship that was anything but dull: ‘It all happened so fast, so romantic, so thrilling / So dramatic, so daring, so adorable’.
Neither of them fully gets over the relationship, with both insisting they have moved on or forgotten, but nothing could be farther from the truth: ‘Don’t make that face at me, I haven’t forgotten either’, sings Ros. All they have left now is to ‘tidy up’ their room a bit and, above all, to try to treat themselves ‘better’.
Alicia and Paola have also announced a tour that will take them through Valencia, Barcelona, Málaga, Granada, Zaragoza, Madrid, and Bilbao. All tickets are available, except for Madrid and Bilbao. ‘Each show includes a magic show!’, reads the tour poster.
