Aitana, U2, Ed Sheeran and Madonna are among the acts confirmed for Martin Garrix’s upcoming album, due to be released on March 5. The next teaser features a collaboration with Aitana, which has already appeared on social media, though its title remains unknown. The Madonna track, as Rolling Stone confirms, is one you may have already heard: ‘Bizarre’.
Additionally, tracks with U2 and Ed Sheeran—’Fireflies’ and ‘Repeat It’—have been available for weeks, along with two solo pieces, ‘This Dream of You’ and ‘Catharina’. The album will comprise 14 tracks in total, and while parts of the tracklist are already visible on streaming platforms, it remains unclear where the Aitana and Madonna songs will sit in the lineup.
Rolling Stone also frames ‘MARTY’ as Martin Garrix’s debut album, arriving 13 years after the release of his first single. This invites us to ask what that 2022 record, titled ‘SENTIO’, actually was.
Garrix rose to fame thanks to his dance and EDM collaborations with artists such as Bebe Rexha and Halsey, as well as his solo hit ‘Animals’. His more recent singles have fallen short of matching the numbers those early hits achieved.
