Ariana Grande has again clashed with the Trump administration after the official campaign account of the U.S. president used ‘we can’t be friends (wait for your love)’ in its latest video. It is the second time this has happened to the singer in two months.
In the Team Trump video, one can read: “My truth and I sit in silence… Men cannot have babies and should never compete in women’s sports.” Ariana took the trouble to go straight to the comments box to order that this not happen again: “Don’t use my music ever again. Also, your truth is false,” she stated.
Earlier in June, Grande had to resort to the same after ICE used the song ‘bye’ in a video: “Please never use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane and horrible nonsense. Fuck ICE,” she commented at the time.
