Quevedo, alongside Elvis Crespo, and Quevedo, alongside Nueva Línea, hold the No. 1 and No. 2 on the Spanish singles chart, but the week’s news sits just below: ‘Bby WOW’, by Karol G with Judeline and rusowsky, climbs from the top 10 to No. 3.
The track already seemed one of the freshest from ‘No me arrepiento de sentir tanto’ from the start, thanks to that sample of ‘Move Ya Body’, and the public has confirmed it: ‘Bby WOW’ is rising rapidly. It has already reached No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart, and this week it climbs to No. 38 on the U.S. Billboard chart.
For Karol G, used to accumulating No. 1s in Spain and Latin America, perhaps this isn’t the greatest milestone of her career. For Judeline and rusowsky, however, yes. It is, by far, the biggest hit for both, even though it comes as a collaboration. Judeline had reached the Top 15 with ‘Imperio’, his collaboration with Duki, while ‘Romero santo’ with Dellafuente had reached No. 35, ‘Com Voce’ with Amaia at No. 37 and ‘Zarcillos de plata’, already solo, at No. 69. ‘Zarcillos de plata’ and ‘Canijo’ have earned Lara Fernández Gold Discs.
rusowsky already had more experience with summer hits: ‘Malibu’ reached No. 6 and is still hovering around the top 50 of the most listened songs. ‘Bby WOW’, however, is already playing in a different league.
The other two new entries of the week are also urban: Brytiago debuts at No. 72 with the underwater R&B of ‘Estoy Pa’ Ti’, while Myke Towers places at No. 78 the cheerful reggaeton with brass winds of ‘Carita Feliz’.
