Now, it is also the reason why Judeline and rusowsky have secured their first global hit, topping Spotify’s Global Top 50: “I’m speechless, I don’t understand a thing,” the Andalusian artist wrote on social media.
With this new milestone, Judeline becomes the first Spanish artist to land a world No. 1 song. Rosalía came close with her duet with Bad Bunny on ‘LA NOCHE DE ANOCHE’, which reached No. 2, and with her solo track ‘DESPECHÁ’, which climbed to the seventh position. On the other hand, Aitana managed to place at No. 35 on the chart with ‘SUPERESTRELLA’.
The reaction from the artist from Los Caños de Meca on her TikTok profile is priceless: “I woke up from a nap and saw that the song with Karol is No. 1 worldwide. I don’t understand anything. I’m not aware of the magnitude of being on a No. 1 song, that my name is there. What the hell, I’m from Barbate, what are you telling me,” she declared, tears in her eyes.
Of course, it is also rusowsky’s first global hit, but it is not the first time a Spanish artist has reached the top. Íñigo Quintero did it with ‘Si No Estás’, as crazy as it sounds, and Quevedo and Bizarrap repeated the feat with their Session 52, unofficially titled ‘Quédate’. He celebrated this with an Instagram post that did not overcomplicate things: “Dreaming,” he shared.
