Fifteen years after the Beastie Boys released their last album, Mike D launches a solo project with “Switch Up.” A track that marks the start of a new creative chapter for the American musician and rapper.
The hip-hop legend Mike D presents Switch Up, a highly addictive track that leans toward experimentation and a noisier, more abrasive edge. It was originally crafted in his personal studio during improvised sessions with his sons Davis and Skyler (together they form the group Very Nice Person).
Mike D announced the release of this new single during a sold-out show in Los Angeles. The rapper is continuing the tour with several dates across the United States before heading to France. He will perform notably at La Villette in Paris on June 20, as part of the Beyond The Streets exhibition.
