From May 28 to July 25, the Lyon festival celebrates eight decades of culture with a striking lineup where international legends meet francophone luminaries. An anniversary edition that promises to make the ancient theatres resonate with around forty concerts and new creations.
Since its inception in 1946, the Festival des Nuits de Fourvière has taken place every summer. To mark the festival’s 80th anniversary, the music program pulls out all the stops with iconic names from the international scene such as Pulp, Massive Attack and Jack White. The festival will also welcome British rapper Little Simz, New Zealand megastar Lorde, as well as Ireland’s The Divine Comedy and Belgium’s Selah Sue.
On the francophone side, you’ll find Vanessa Paradis, Charlotte Cardin, Gaël Faye, Sébastien Tellier, and Yaël Naim. The event will also give ample space to original commissions, notably the Supersonic Social Club project uniting Youssoupha and MC Solaar, as well as Camille’s symphonic concert with the Orchestre national de Lyon.
Concerts and Live Performance
Staying true to its DNA, the festival preserves its interdisciplinary dimension with more than 70 performances dedicated to theater, cabaret, dance, and circus. The festivities will even open with the Australian circus company Circa, while a circus village will settle at the Domaine de Lacroix-Laval. This bustling program will take over eleven venues across the Lyon metropolitan area, also including offerings for younger audiences with “Les Petites Nuits.”
The Nuits de Fourvière will run from May 28 to July 25, 2026. Ticket sales open on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 starting at 12:00 at https://www.nuitsdefourviere.com/
