After more than three years with the band La Femme, the singer Fanny is launching her solo career with her first track “Monsters of the Night,” accompanied by a video, available on her YouTube channel.
In her debut single, Monsters of the Night, Fanny, known for being one of La Femme’s voices, sensitively explores the nocturnal fears that sometimes haunt us in the dark. With imagery-rich lyrics that pleasantly spill from one measure to the next, the artist reminds us that all of this will be quickly forgotten by the next morning.
Originally from Nice, Fanny studied at the conservatory before joining La Femme’s live lineup in 2022. A singer and keyboardist, she has toured international stages and the biggest festivals alongside the group. She is now dedicating herself to a solo career, nourished by her Côte d’Azur roots and by influences ranging from Françoise Hardy to Lana Del Rey, with the Beatles in between.
A Spooky and Danceable Clip
To accompany the release of Monsters of the Night, Fanny presents a video directed by Jade Cervetti, which perfectly captures a certain spooky and danceable side, powered by a disco-string orchestra and vintage synthesizers. The result is a cadenced sonic aesthetic that constantly fluctuates between shadow and color.
