Justice, Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard on the Same Track: It’s Not Chaos

October 15, 2026

Justice has been tasked with composing the original soundtrack for the new Grand Theft Auto VI, the most anticipated game in history. Not much else to say. This is how Rockstar Games revealed it, which also took the opportunity to release another track from the game’s official album, precisely a piece by Justice. The best thing about ‘Flower In A Hurricane’ is that, even with Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard joining the French duo, it isn’t some pastiche.

‘Flower In A Hurricane’ could have sounded in a thousand different ways, but all of its contributors have agreed to follow a psychedelic and rock path. What you get when Justice, Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard come together on the same track is something very reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac. Certainly, it directly recalls the blend of Kevin Parker’s and SZA’s voices. On the other hand, the melody, tremendously vintage, also lightly brings to mind Tom Petty’s ‘Love Is A Long Road,’ which provided the soundtrack to the game’s reveal trailer.

The song opens with a keyboard line that could just as easily be mistaken for a guitar. We don’t know whether it’s the work of King Gizzard’s members or the French duo. According to the official credits, production is handled by Justice and Tame Impala, with the Australian also taking care of the electric guitar. As for the composition, all the names are credited.

“Only love never doubts / Only trust has a price to pay / Like a flower in a hurricane / We see the sun rise for another day,” goes the chorus, with no greater significance. If there’s one thing common to the songs already revealed from the game’s official LP, including artists such as Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso or Travis Scott, it’s that they don’t stand out for depth. At least this one does, for its melody.
