The use of artificial intelligence in ‘Vultures 2’ and ‘Bully’ has been a topic of speculation for months among Kanye West fans. A new lawsuit against Ye now assigns concrete figures to those suspicions: a producer claims to have created 13 AI voice models and more than 400 vocal generations for the album, yet says he never received payment for that work.
According to the complaint filed in Los Angeles and reported by Rolling Stone, the producer was contacted just two days before the release of ‘Vultures 2’. In that brief window, he allegedly carried out an intense vocal production using artificial intelligence: he says he created 13 AI voice models, generated more than 400 vocal takes, and contributed material recorded with his own voice. He asserts that his work ultimately appeared on five songs on the album.
The producer also states that he continued collaborating with Ye on ‘Bully’ starting in October 2024, developing new AI-driven vocal productions and taking part in the writing of two tracks that eventually saw release.
The lawsuit further claims that Yeezy initially acknowledged his contributions and even promised to update the credits on streaming platforms, as well as later offering to purchase his rights. However, the plaintiff says he never received payment or the promised recognition.
The producer is seeking at least $110,000 for his work on seven published songs. It is the latest lawsuit against Ye, whose recent career has been marked by controversy but also by the success of his tour, which recently played in Spain.
