RFTW: Adela, Lori Meyers, Ellie Goulding, Viva Belgrado…

September 4, 2026

Today, September 4th, new albums from Adéla, Ellie Goulding, Kasabian, AKRIILA, Mykki Blanco, Angus & Julia Stone, Veintiuno, Paris Paloma, Natalie Imbruglia, and Chat Pile are released. Additionally, Beyoncé’s reissue of ‘B’DAY’ is issued to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary and her 45th birthday, and also a reissue of ‘Loose’, the iconic album by Nelly Furtado, is released.

The top release of the day is Miley’s ‘Bass Persuades’, and for that reason it is our Song of the Day. There are also significant releases from two members of BLACKPINK, Lisa and Jisoo, as well as notable duets by Carlos Ares and Barry B on one side, and by Dianka and La Bien Querida on the other.

Among the standout debuts are Rebecca Black on the pop side; Lori Meyers and Maitequiero in indie; and Fat Dog in rock. The dancefloor and disco-tinged vibe comes from TSHA and Amelie Lens. The most introspective entry is by the breakout artist Fine.

The authorial sensibility is contributed by Sr. Chinarro or Liana Flores, and among the notable comebacks we should mention Simple Minds and Andy Stott. We also receive new singles from the forthcoming works of Viva Belgrado, DIIV, or Califato ¾.

Perhaps the greatest curiosity lies in Kelela performing live a rendition of Incubus, in line with her latest album. Or returning to ‘B’DAY’, Beyoncé and Maluma in the Latin remix of ‘Get Me Bodied’. Is there anything missing? Tell us in the comments.
