Fuerza Regida were the big winners of the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, which were handed out this Thursday. They collected eight trophies, including Best Regional Mexican Group of the Year and the “Global 200 Latin Song of the Year” for ‘Marlboro Rojo’, the latter beating out ‘La Perla’ and ‘La Plena’. In fact, Bad Bunny took seven awards and a few more prestigious ones, such as Artist of the Year or Tour of the Year, but he wasn’t at the ceremony.
Karol G, Peso Pluma and Romeo Santos won four awards each; while Rosalía, Tito Double P and Prince Royce earned three apiece. Notably, the Catalan artist received Latin Pop Artist of the Year, and Top Latin Pop Album of the Year for ‘LUX’. She also received the Billboard Hall of Fame Award.
Rosalía thanked predecessors such as Celia Cruz, Rocío Dúrcal, Vicente Fernández, Daddy Yankee and Juan Luis Guerra, who was the one responsible for presenting one of the awards. In the other speech she recalled that she is from Barcelona, earning the audience’s applause, and celebrated music in Spanish. The list of winners can be consulted on Billboard’s website.
