Six workers from Ed Sheeran’s crew had to be transported to the hospital after an accident occurred during the dismantling of the stage for his Detroit concert. The incident took place on Saturday night, following the show at Ford Field.
According to initial reports, the workers were near a ramp, in a vehicle tunnel, when a machine lost control and struck them just as they were about to take a break. Emergency services were alerted around 11:00 PM.
The six were taken to hospital. Two were in critical condition and four others were stable, though none sustained injuries that put their lives at risk. One remained admitted overnight.
