Taylor Swift and MTV announce that the artist will premiere worldwide the music video for her new single ‘Patient Zero’ during this Sunday’s awards show. As has been reported in recent days, ‘Patient Zero’ is one of the new tracks from ‘The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore’, the reissue of her latest album, which drops tonight.
The music video is directed by Taylor Swift and stars Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson, so we understand it will be a blockbuster production. The cinematography is handled by Oscar winner Emmanuel Lubezki, renowned for his work on The Revenant, Birdman and Gravity. The trailer toggles between a life of luxury and death.
On the other hand, the artist will also receive the inaugural MTV VMAs Artist Director Honors during the ceremony, and she is nominated in 11 other categories.
Snoop Dogg will host a gala at which performances by Madonna, Raye, Lisa, Kacey Musgraves in a tribute to Dolly Parton, Sienna Spiro or Gener8ion with Yung Lean, among others, have been confirmed.
