The Grand Palais is issuing a call to drummers from all backgrounds to take part in a monumental rhythmic adventure at the heart of its Nef. This collective performance invites 100 amateur drummers to bring to life a sound work of extraordinary nature.
Intitulé Symphony for 100 Drums, ce projet est né de l’imaginaire de la compositrice et multi-instrumentiste Lucie Antunes. En collaboration avec les Nuits de Fourvière, l’idée est de sublimer des musiciens·nnes non-professionnels·lles au sein d’un orchestre rythmique puissant dans l’espace grandiose du Grand Palais.
Call for Applications
The recruitment is open to anyone aged 16 years or older, regardless of their level of technique. Applicants must, however, be able to autonomously perform a 17-minute score before the collective meetings. To apply, simply fill out an online form and submit a video sequence showing you playing along with an audible metronome.
- Registration deadline: March 22, 2026, at 11:00 PM.
- Results announced: By email, no later than April 15, 2026.
- Mandatory rehearsals: Thursday, June 25 (evening) and Friday, June 26 (evening).
- Performances: Two consecutive concerts will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
