U2 announce ‘Carnival of Light’ with Rosalía and Dolly Parton

September 24, 2026

U2 will release their new album, the first in nine years, on November 13th. It will arrive in the same year that they released combative EPs, such as ‘Days Of Ash’ and ‘Easter Lily’.

‘Carnaval de luz’ will be a collection of 12 songs that speak about spirituality, friendship, freedom and resilience. It will include the previously released track ‘Street of Dreams’ (which was already in Spanglish), another one that drops today, rock-driven, of only two and a half minutes, also with a Spanish title, ‘Silencio’, and two unexpected collaborations.

The first collaboration will be with Rosalía, who appears not on the track titled ‘La Reina’ but on ‘The Mirror Maker’, and finally a last track called ‘Torn’ that includes voices from the recently departed Dolly Parton.
