Why Is Ñengo Flow in Spain’s Top 10 with a 2017 Track?

August 3, 2026

There aren’t many shifts in the Spanish singles chart, aside from a long-missing Ñengo Flow track reaching the eighth position after the week’s steepest rise, vaulting from 39. Why is “Baby Lover,” released in 2017, now sitting near the top of the Spanish chart?

The answer lies with the Spanish National Team. One of the most memorable images from the world champions’ stop at the Plaza de Cibeles was Marc Pubill singing “Baby Lover” a cappella. It also became one of the most viral moments. Since that event, the audience has driven “Baby Lover” back onto the charts, initially landing at No. 39.

The reason for its sudden climb occurred a week after the famous celebration. On July 26, Ñengo Flow had an announced concert at Shoko in Madrid. Of course, Pubill was in attendance. The Puerto Rican artist then invited the footballer to join him on stage to sing his hit together, triggering another instantly viral moment.

The first new entry of the week doesn’t appear until No. 51, with “Quiero más” by La Pantera. Deeper down the list we see the debut of “MATADORA,” one of Karol G’s upcoming singles, at No. 73. Finally, Hugel, Imael Angel and Ultra Naté place “Movin’ To The SSun” at No. 86.
